Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions can be ordered by:

  • On-line via the link at the top of this page. Please ask at reception for details on how to register for this service.
  • Completing the order form attached to your repeat prescription and posting this in the repeat prescription box located inside the foyer at the surgery. If you do not have your order form, a prescription request form will be available to fill out at the surgery.
  • Asking your local pharmacy to order your prescription for you
  • Posting your request to the surgery.

Please allow 2 working days for your repeat prescription to be processed by ourselves. If you ask for a repeat through your pharmacy please allow more time.

Prescription requests for items that are not on your repeat list will take 3 working days to process

The Practice has taken the decision to only accept written requests for repeat prescriptions to ensure patient safety and accuracy when processing requests.

If you request a prescription urgently we now to expect it to be collected from the surgery by the patient (or their representative) and we will not send it to a pharmacy. If you want it sent to a pharmacy please specify this carefully. This is because the variation in the times and frequencies that the pharmacies collect from us and also the time some pharmacies are taking to process prescriptions is causing us work locating and duplicating requests.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
